WELCOME to the Haiti Ministry page!
The mission of the Haiti Ministry is to provide both spiritual and material support for Ste. Thérèse de L'Enfant Jésus Church and School in Lilavois Haiti.In addition to including our Haitian brothers and sisters in our prayers, the ministry has raised money through grants, drives, and special events to fund what started as a feeding program alone but has now become so much more. This ministry, started at St. Patrick Church in Collinsville back in 1999, has become a partnership with St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Unionville, which has broadened support to fund a wider range of needs for the school and the parish including:
Providing hot meals for more than 470 students during the weekdays of the school year
Paying a significant portion of the teachers' salaries
Providing scholarships for top graduates to enable them to pursue higher education
Providing funds for capital projects, such as rebuilding the church structure
