Haiti

The St. Patrick Haiti Ministry is connected to an organization called Outreach to Haiti, which falls under the charitable and administrative umbrella of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Norwich, Connecticut. The work being done by the Haiti Ministry focuses mainly on education and healthcare in the Christ Roi neighborhood of Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Haiti.

Through annual fundraisers, parish collections, and other initiatives, money has been raised to support the struggling men, women, and children of Haiti, which is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Outreach to Haiti has been working in the Caribbean nation for decades, with a history of support coming from St. Patrick Church. In addition to simply providing monetary help, members of the ministry and of the parish have had opportunities to go down to Haiti for "immersion experience" trips that have had a powerful impact on all those involved.
